Cherry, Brie & Pear Bruschetta

If cherries are not in season, use Spiced Cherry perserves found in the specialty cheese section of your local grocery store.

Baguette or Italian loaf

1 (8 oz.) round of brie

2-4 ripe pears

2 cups of cherries, sliced, or 1 container of spiced cherry preserves

Bread may be toasted or not, depending on preference.  If not toasting bread, skip to topping the bread. 

Toasted Crostini Bread Pieces:


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Slice baguette in 1/4 inch slices.  Brush olive oil on each baguette slice to cover both cut sides.  Lightly salt baguette slices.  Toast in oven for 8-10 minutes or until lightly toasted. 

Place a slice of brie cheese on top of the bread.  Put sliced pears and cherries on top.  If using cherry perserves, place perserves on top of the bread and top with brie and pears.  

Drizzle with honey if desired.
