Triple Berry

Crunch Jello

This festive side dish can be served with dinner or as a dessert.  The salty pretzel crust is the perfect contrast to the creamy filling and fruity topping.

Total Time: 40 minutes, not including cooling time.

Ingredients: 

Directions:

Crust:

2 cups crushed pretzels

​

3/4 cup butter, melted

​

3 T. sugar

​

Filling:

1 package (8oz.) cream cheese

​

1 cup sugar

​

1 container (8oz.) frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

​

Topping:

1 (6 oz) package raspberry gelatin

​

2 cups boiling water

​

20 oz. frozen fruit (recommended triple berry blend)

Crust: 

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. 

​

Stir pretzels, butter and sugar in a 13 X 9 inch baking dish until well combined.  Press onto the bottom of the pan.  Bake for 8 minutes.  Cool completely.

​

Topping:

Stir gelatin in boiling water until completely dissolved.  Add frozen fruit.  Stir and place in refrigerator while you prepare the filling. 

​

Filling:

Mix cream cheese and  sugar together in a large mixing bowl.  Fold in thawed whipped topping. 

​

Pour filling over cooled pretzel crust.  Spread gelatin mixture on top of filling.  (It may be "clumped" but will settle together in the refrigerator).  Chill several hours or overnight.
